Esquire Risen

Posted in Law, Life Observation by Nalej on September 6, 2010

Since I graduated from law school, I’ve been trying to think of what I should do with this blog. My goal initially was to write about 300 posts in a year’s time. But ever since I got done with studying and taking the New York Bar, I haven’t had motivation to continue writing. This is the case despite my having about 60-70 drafts waiting in the wing to finish and publish.

Currently, I’m looking at this upcoming year with a blank slate. I was supposed to start working for a firm in about a month, but the firm deferred all the incoming associates for a year. They gave us a bit of money to live off of, but taxes and a family emergency have manhandled that thus far. I wanted to travel around the world, but that’s been deferred until I can get my finances in better shape.

It’s a weird place to be in. A lot of opportunity. A totally blank slate.

Anyways, I don’t think I’m really closing up shop on Esquire Rising. But I don’t think I’m going to write as much as I used to. We’ll see what’s going to happen. Thanks for rolling with a brother.
